    About this Position / Responsibilities

     

    Client’s IT department is in the process of converting their legacy system to oracle and rolling out various enterprise solutions including E-Permitting Management.

    This system will replace the legacy permit processing information system (PPIS) with an electronic system that reduces the need for manual and paper-based procedures across the scope of permit-related business processes (permit issuances, plan reviews, inspections, and licensing). ePermitting will re-engineer these processes and integrate them with other systems such as GIS, Speed Pay, eBuilder, CCTR, Billing System, IVRS, ProjectDox, and Cash Receipt system. The purpose of this position is to

    support the lead program developer for the development and configuration for ePermitting and requires strong background and understanding of the Oracle SQL technology.

Our service area spans nearly 1,000 square miles in Prince George’s and Montgomery counties serving 1.8 million residents through approximately 460,000 customer accounts. WSSC drinking water has always met or exceeded federal standards.

    Qualifications

    Duties/Responsibilities

    Broad ERP implementation experience and extensive knowledge of Oracle SQL technology

    1. Oracle PL/SQL

    4. XML Publisher

    Expertise in Oracle implementation and configuration.

    • Converting customer data from legacy systems to Oracle databases using SQL scripts, PL/SQL code, Oracle Packages and Excel spreadsheets.
    • Document the conversion processes.
    • Create design for conversion processes based upon the data mapping specifications.
    • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
    • Verify accuracy and completeness of code by preparing sample data and testing the code.
    • Escalate issues to the supervisor in a timely manner to allow for rapid resolution
    • Provide accurate and appropriate feedback in a timely manner
    • Strong team player, ability to work well with others.
    • Demonstrated strong analytical skills in identifying and resolving data exchange issues.
    • Collaborate across technical and functional teams.
    • Identify and mitigate risk and support issues.
    • Provide daily/weekly status reports.
