This position functions as a point of escalation (Tier II), working for the Washington DC Health Benefits Exchange, supporting and interacting with Health Inurance Brokers. This person will be primarily responsible for responding to broker inquiries on anything from commissions issues to navigating the system and supporting brokers on their needs as it relates to them managing their account or servicing their clients.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
This position requires experience dealing with ACA (regardless of state), working with brokers or insurance carries, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service over the telephone.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting/Economics; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is preferred.
Experience with customer service, billing and invoicing inquiries, specifically related to health insurance is preferred.
Experience with billing research and account resolution, experience with small business (health insurance) and/or working with billing of physicians offices helpful.
