    About this Position / Responsibilities

    This is a new position for a large transit agency to lead and architect a new Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) replacement project.  The department's objective is to migrate from the current RTUs to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).  This will provide highly reliable, real-time system results that are fed to the Advanced Information System (AIS) which monitors the status of the rail transit system.

     

    The Technical Project Manager will work with IT engineering, outside vendors, and other stakeholders across operations to design and coordinate the successful completion of this project. 

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    The candidate must possess the following skils and experiences:

     

    • Continuous experience in designing, implementing, supplying and supporting instrumentation and control systems that are comparable to the SCADA System in terms of hardware, software and complexity.
    • Demonstrated technical knowledge of RTU and PLC technology in a utility or transist entity.
    • Demonstrated excellence in developing a technical working project management plan in a similar environment.
