    About this Position / Responsibilities

     

    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

    We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to expand our presence into State, Local Governments, Education market (SLED) and select Federal Civilian Agencies in Maryland, Virginia, DC areas.  The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, accelerating, and expanding existing and new contract vehicles, teaming partnerships, for the purpose of capturing complex and innovative IT solutions in SLED and Civilian Federal market place. The selected individual will maintain the highest level of knowledge about NFF's solutions portfolio, capabilities and contracts while being responsible for the successful mapping of innovative solutions towards qualified Federal, State, Local agencies.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Interact and lead discussions with Federal, State, Local Executives, Systems Integrators, partners and other internal/external stakeholders to establish and execute project/customer requirements, address current program issues, and develop long-term strategies.
    • Drive relationships with NFF internal counterparts (VP of Sales, VP of Technology, Capture Manager) as well as external Channel and teaming partners to identify opportunities, develop strategies and execute successful programs across Federal, State, Local agencies.
    • Work with NFF leadership team to develop a pipeline of activity that focuses on short, medium, and long-term revenue opportunities.
    • Work with VP of Sales for a successful hand off of developed opportunities to appropriate account executives.
    • Propose, coordinate and participate in relevant industry events, expos, symposiums, seminars, pre-bid conferences to foster necessary relationships.
    • Participate and collaborate in proposal development activities with associated team members.

     

     

    Qualifications

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of seven (7) years of  IT Business Development experience working with Local Governments, Education market (SLED) or select Federal Civilian Agencies in Maryland, Virginia, DC areas
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
    • A minimum of a bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields.
