    About this Position / Responsibilities

    Sr. Project Manager to lead the creation of a new Content Management System (CMS) project for a major transit agency in the Washington D.C. metro area.

    • Work closely with C Level internal executives, IT, engineering teams and third-party partners and vendors. Lead, monitor, and motivate different teams across the agency and interact with staff at all levels in the organization.
    • Coordinate internal resources and across agency teams and vendors to ensure the projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
    • Define and lead the technical scope of the CMS Digital Asset Management project, roles, and responsibilities along with various stakeholders.
    • Create and manage methods of management, communication plans and verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
    • Participate in the allocation of budget, staff and any other resource(s) that are needed to accomplish or achieve set out goals and monitor the performance of the project.
    • Maintain project documentation time frames, estimates, and status reports to minimize risk and measure project performance.
    • Responsible for identifying, clarifying, and communicating the vision(s) and/or objective(s) of the projects and show how they aligns with, enhance, or inhibit the business objectives of the agency.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • B.S. degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering discipline. PMP certification.
    • 10+ years’ relevant project management work experience in complex enterprise environments (transit preferred).
    • Demonstrated experience of coordinating and working well with multiple internal stakeholders including C-level executives and external vendors. Evaluate complex situations using diverse sources of information.
    • Experience with Digital Asset Content Management Systems such as OpenText.
    • Experience in developing technical complex RFPs to assess prospective technology vendors.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
    • Responsible for identifying, clarifying, and communicating the vision(s) and/or objective(s) of projects and show how they fall in place with, enhance, or inhibits such vision(s) and/or objective(s) of the business goals.
    • Navigating multiple disparate groups with competing interests to find common ground consistent with executive vision and agency goals.
    • Demonstrated Leadership and/or Managerial experience
    • Desirable:  Knowledge and of transit central systems including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA) monitoring systems.
