    About this Position / Responsibilities

    NFF is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to join a public safety and security team based in Washington DC.

    • Work closely with internal executives, IT, engineering teams and third-party partners and vendors. Lead, monitor, and motivate different teams across the agency and interact with staff at all levels in the organization.
    • Coordinate internal resources and across agency teams and vendors to ensure the projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
    • Potential upcoming CAD/RMS projects include the evaluation and deployment of new technology for handheld devices to allow first responders to stay connected to critical data, speech recognition technology to integrate with the current platform, and a cloud-based law enforcement solution platform.
    • Create and manage methods of management, communication plans and verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
    • Participate in the allocation of budget, staff and any other resource(s) that are needed to accomplish or achieve set out goals and monitor the performance of the project.
    • Maintain project documentation time frames, estimates, and status reports to minimize risk and measure project performance.
    • Responsible for identifying, clarifying, and communicating the vision(s) and/or objective(s) of the projects and show how they aligns with, enhance, or inhibit the business objectives of the agency.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • B.S. degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering discipline. PMP certification.
    • 10+ years’ relevant project management work experience with experience in public safety and law enforcement environments.
    • Demonstrated experience of coordinating and working well with multiple internal stakeholders including C-level executives and external vendors. Evaluate complex situations using diverse sources of information.
    • Experience with CAD/RMS technology for incident response, communication, and reporting (preferably Motorola’s PremierOne platform).
    • Experience in developing technical complex RFPs to assess prospective technology vendors.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
    • Navigating multiple disparate groups with competing interests to find common ground consistent with executive vision and agency goals.
