About this Position / Responsibilities

 

The Endpoint Engineer/Administrator will be intimately familiar with next generation Endpoint management/protection platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Intune, Ivanti provisioning and patching management, Jamf macOS device management and CrowdStrike security. The engineer must have mastery level skill with Endpoint Device and patch Management. Hands on experience with implementing and managing the following technologies like Device Provisioning, Windows Autopilot, Creation and Configuration of device policies, Software Packaging & distribution, Windows OS and software patching, reporting in Intune using Graph explorer and API. To be successful in this position, the candidate will be responsible for managing the endpoint devices within our organization, ensuring that they are secure, up-to-date, and functioning at peak performance. As an Endpoint Engineer, the candidate also be responsible for providing support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and identifying areas for improvement. Must display excellent teamwork skills, technical, written, and oral communication skills, and ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must have in depth knowledge of the afore-mentioned point products and can formulate Security policy and manage Security configuration.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain the Windows Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
  • Deploy and manage Windows applications using Tanium Deploy and Microsoft Intune
  • Create and troubleshoot Windows application packages (MSI, MSIX, Intune Win32 apps)
  • Engineer and optimize Windows OS provisioning, imaging, and deployment processes
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for Windows automation and management
  • Implement and enforce Windows security configurations and policies
  • Troubleshoot complex Windows OS and application issues
  • Manage Windows updates and patch deployment strategies
  • Document Windows configurations, deployment processes, and technical solutions
  • Collaborate with IT security to implement Windows security best practices
Required Technical Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on Windows engineering experience in enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Windows 10/11 deployment and management
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft deployment technologies (MDT, SCCM, Autopilot)
  • Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting for Windows management
  • Practical experience creating and troubleshooting Windows application packages
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and/or Tanium for Windows management
  • Working knowledge of Windows Group Policy and modern management alternatives
  • Experience implementing and troubleshooting Windows security configurations
  • Understanding of Windows networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
Technical Skills That Set You Apart
  • Experience with Windows Autopilot and modern provisioning approaches
  • Hands-on work with Windows security baselines and hardening
  • Practical knowledge of Windows event logging and monitoring
  • Experience with Windows VDI environments
  • Familiarity with Windows Server administration as it relates to desktop management
  • Experience with Windows PKI and certificate management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 integration with Windows environments
  • Experience managing Windows in hybrid cloud environments

Qualifications

Experience and Skills

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the incumbent to successfully fulfill the Major Duties and perform the Tasks required for this position include:

  • 3+ years Performing successful Windows OS updates
  • 6+ years total progressive IT experience
  • 5+ years of Endpoint Management and Security
  • 3+ years Troubleshooting complex experience in endpoint engineering with PowerShell, VBScript and batch scripting. Strong focus on Windows and macOS devices.
  • 5+ years experience with device management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Tanium, SCCM and/or Jamf.
  • 2+ years experience with a strong understanding of network technologies, such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, and other related technologies.
  • 2+ years experience with cloud-based platforms such as Azure AD and Intune, integration with endpoint management solutions.
