NFF is seeking a Mainframe Storage Administrator with 8+ years managing and maintaining the storage systems for IMB System Z, Responsible for managing storage allocation, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and managing disaster recovery fail-over protocols.
CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
1. Leads the adoption or implementation of an advanced technology or platform.
2. Expert on the functionality or usage of a particular system, platform, or technology product.
3. Serves as a consultant to clients, guiding the efficient use or adoption of a particular IT product or platform.
4. Creates implementation, testing, and/or integration plans.
5. Demonstrates expertise in a particular IT platform or service, allowing for maximum IT investment.
Extensive knowledge of IBM z/OS system software, IBM utilities and 3rd party software..
Extensive knowledge working with IBM, Dell/EMC and Hitachi disks.
Extensive knowledge managing local and remote replication, initialization and full volume backup/archive/restore.
Extensive knowledge working with tape silos(automatic tape libraries).
Extensive knowledge of IBM and CA virtual tape storage
Minimum Education/ Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
Training or certification in a particular product or IT platform/service, as required
