Seeking a resource to build modern, cloud-hosted analytics solution for data storage & data transformation for key metrics (bus ridership, on-time performance & run-time analysis. This person will play a crucial role in helping internal organizations/offices leverage the benefits of cloud computing, such as increased agility, scalability, and cost savings.

• Design and Planning: Creating comprehensive cloud architectures, including network layouts, storage solutions, and computation of resources.
• Governance: Developing and implementing strategies around technology stacks that support cost effectiveness and innovation
• Implementation and Deployment: Setting up and configuring cloud environments, migrating existing applications or data, and integrating various cloud services.
• Management and Monitoring: Ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of the cloud infrastructure, and managing costs and resource utilization.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Addressing technical issues and resolving problems related to the cloud environment.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other IT teams, such as developers and network engineers, to ensure seamless integration and smooth operation of cloud-based applications.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 15 years of relevant experience in design, development, and implementation of information technology infrastructure including 5 years specifically in enterprise cloud architecture.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, storage, security, and virtualization technologies.
• Exceptional cloud architecture experience and familiarity with architecture patterns and design.
• Experience with using cloud-native tools, including: app services, functions, cloud policies, containers, micro-services, data orchestration, blog storage.
• Experience coordinating software requirements and working with development teams.
• Governance Experience: Experience with aligning cloud strategies and technologies with enterprise architecture standards and IT roadmap.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience developing as-is and to-be documentation of configurations of cloud environments, including text and visuals
• Leadership: Ability to lead and guide technical teams in the implementation and management of cloud projects.
• Experience using MS Visio or other data or application visualization software to document application architecture.
• Experience developing visual dashboards of relevant raw data to support cost management with Power BI or other data visualization platform.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in the transit industry.
• At least three (3) years of experience implementing architectural patterns and designs for data analytics applications.
