About this Position / Responsibilities

  • Provide services to ensure that the network is maintained and upgraded using documented processes that guarantee proper configuration control, traceability, and computing integrity.
  • Capture performance and capacity measurements for all components of the network, including but not limited to circuit utilization and latency measurements for backbone circuits and subscriber aggregation circuits; and CPU and memory utilization of routers and switches.
  • Validate that all network components are able to be properly monitored and managed. Any network components that cannot be properly monitored will be clearly identified and recommendations for mitigating the risk will be provided.
  • Validate existing configuration diagrams, including both physical and logical network topologies; and document all findings, raw data and associated analysis in a manner that clearly conveys the baseline configuration and network performance and capacity.
  • Collect data for the baseline that will be utilized throughout the duration of the contract for performance and capacity management using a real-time data collection tool available.
  • Provide technical support in the planning for new IT systems hosted in an IaaS, PaaS environment.
  • Coordinate with DOT, DOI, DOJ, CISA and other external organizations in support of external network links and services as directed.
  • Provide the following services to the ensure that the network remains secure:
  • Risk analysis and assessment
  • System monitoring and intrusion detection
  • Firewall design, development and maintenance

Qualifications

  • Required Minimum Qualification of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in network architecture, management and deployment
  • Must have an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE
