NFF is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst with strong experience supporting engineering, maintenance, and configuration management teams in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PTC Windchill, including workflow analysis, requirements gathering, change management support, and data/process analysis related to engineering documents, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) data, bill-of-materials structures, and lifecycle states. This role will work closely with Engineering, IT, Maintenance, and Configuration Management groups to improve PLM processes, document requirements, analyze system behaviors, and support enhancements and end-user adoption.
This role will support tasks related to the Windchill PLM platform, including:
• Assisting engineering and configuration teams with data validation, object cleanup, and lifecycle status corrections.
• Supporting Change Notice (CN), Change Request (CR), and deviation/waiver processes.
• Documenting requirements for new Windchill workflows, lifecycle states, business rules, and user roles.
• Analyzing data structures (WTParts, EPMDocuments, Change Objects) to troubleshoot system issues or inconsistencies.
• Supporting user access requests, role changes, and security group maintenance.
• Assisting with integration analysis between Windchill and external systems (e.g., EnterpriseResponse Planning (ERP), CAD applications).
• Evaluating user issues, researching root causes, and preparing documentation for IT support or developmentteams.
• Supporting ad-hoc data inquiries, reporting needs, and configuration audits. Processes to identify opportunities for improvement using Windchill PLM functionality.
• Document requirements for enhancements to Windchill workflows, object lifecycles, attributes, or system integrations.
• Support engineering change management by analyzing CN/CR workflows, transitions, and data relationships.
• Develop use cases, test scenarios, and User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts specifically for Windchill modules.
• Document system interfaces, shared data structures, CAD integrations, and object dependencies.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, IT, and operations stakeholders to validate requirements and propose design options.
• Use tools such as Microsoft (MS) Visio, MS Excel, JIRA, DOORS, or a similar application to document requirements, analyze needs, identify risks, propose design approaches, and prepare documentation.
• Support end-users through troubleshooting, training, and follow-up on PLM-related issues.
• Experience supporting Windchill or another major product lifecycle management (PLM) system (e.g., Teamcenter, ENOVIA, Aras).
• Experience with engineering change management workflows or configuration management processes.
• Experience analyzing PLM object structures, metadata, and data flows.
• Demonstrated skill in process analysis methods and techniques.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement through software support.
• Demonstrated experience establishing successful relationships with business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing data structures and data flows.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Visio or a similar tool, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience with PTC Windchill modules such as PDMLink, Change Management, or CAD integrations.
• Experience defining PLM workflows, lifecycle states, or business rules. Experience performing UAT for PLM system upgrades or enhancements.
• Experience working with engineering, maintenance, or configuration management groups.
• Experience with CAD data management (e.g., PTC Creo, Autodesk AutoCAD, SolidWorks
